Storage Consultant (NetApp/vmWare) Job in Kitchener N2L 3W8, Ontario Canada
We are looking for a consultant who has experience working with NetApp and VMware; you must have strong knowledge and understands the full features and functionalities of NetApp.
This position will be an employee of Avient and work at our client site in Kitchener, Waterloo, the position will involve the installation and implementation of the tools required to take advantage of the advanced features of this product.
Will assist the internal Operations Team in the coordination of resources and activities for diagnostic and break-fix activities in relation to any software issues at various Customer Sites. This includes: coordination between Customers onsite personnel and the Operations Team, in order to facilitate the provision of remote diagnostics, entry into Customers facility, parts delivery and break-fix personnel coordination.
HOURS:
Hours of work are based upon a pre-scheduled eight (8) hour days that are scheduled
between Monday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
DUTIES:
Will provide project management and project execution work as required by Customer which includes the following, without limitation:
Filer installations;
Hardware upgrades and additions;
Data ONTAP and firmware upgrades and recommendations;
DFM installation and upgrades;
Filer monitoring using DFM;
Onsite diagnostics and replacement of hardware components;
Team coordination;
Test planning and execution;
Participation in regularly scheduled reviews with Customer; and
Documentation of NetApp storage environment at Customer Sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years experience with NetApp OR IBM N Series storage and VMware in an enterprise environment
NetApp Certified
VMware Certified
Excellent Communication Skills
Ability to work in a demanding environment
Ability to clearly articulate, explain and defend recommended solutions.
