Requirements:

• Accounting Degree, Diploma or equivalent and enrollment in an accounting designation program or similar would be an asset.
• Previous Project Accounting experience would be an asset.
• Familiarity with accounting software package JD Edwards would be an asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and Word; efficient and accurate data entry (keying) skills.
• Must be a team player: willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information and guidance.
• Must have strong investigative skills and an ability to ask questions to draw out required information.
• Must be willing to make decisions, in line with established processes and policies.
• Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; motivated and energetic with the ability to multi-task.
• Must utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure:
• the project builds and retains a culture of open sharing of both positive and negative information,
• Colleagues and managers feel helped when an intervention is necessary.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems in a steady-paced environment, responding to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be self-confident enough to seek assistance with difficult or complex issues.
• Must be project-driven, not ambition-driven, in order to ensure the success of the overall project.
• Must be able to put in required hours/efforts as per project requirements.
