Role Mandate:
The responsibility of the Operations Manager is to provide managerial expertise and direction in all areas of the daily operations including leadership, organizational structure, productivity programs, service levels, and communication. This position is accountable for the daily functions within the Distribution Centre for timely and accurate processing of DC stock.
Responsibilities:
Actively supports the companys commitment to ISO standards of quality customer service
Responsible for the development, measurement and execution of programs aimed at improving efficiency and productivity of the work force
Responsible for aligning business strategies with change management strategies to build capabilities to sustain and implement change
Actively supports and promotes the companys Health and Safety programs
Develop action plans and has alternative plans
Maintain all communication programs including regular staff meetings, follow up on ACCESS concerns/issues, supports employee recognition programs, performance discussions
Create an atmosphere of continuous learning and identify and develop 2-3 candidates for succession planning. Communicate daily with associates and related departments the procedural changes, updates or corrections.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills while being open and honest
Proficient with various software applications including MS Office
Strong ability to dissect, analyze and solve complex problems in a timely manner
Excellent judgment skills and good work ethics
Ability to cope with stress Familiar with Union Contract contents, requirements, and administration
