Bilingual Collections Representative Job in Toronto, Ontario Canada
The Collections Officer is responsible for ensuring all arrears are dealt with on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy and providing support to Management where required in all areas of account administration.
Primary Duties:
- Investigate delinquent mortgage accounts in assigned workflow
- Collect/administer delinquent mortgage portfolio while minimizing exposure to monetary losses or damage to investor relationships and corporate image
- Assist clients in budgeting/planning to correct existing and avoid future delinquency
- Assess and collect fees
- Set up arrears settlement payments
- Process new PAC information
- Provide credit ratings and mortgage verifications
- Collect common expense and strata lien arrears
- Collect deficient balances on discharged mortgages
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum two years collection or customer service experience; mortgage industry experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written skills in English and French
- Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- MS office
