    EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you WILL have:
    A. A College Diploma or CITT (or equivalent experience).
    B. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in transportation.
    C. Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively in BOTH FRENCH AND ENGLISH.
    D. Experience delivering training to drivers.
    E. Knowledge of regulations for governing bodies relating to truck transportation.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

They have a 25-year history of providing a reliable, customer-oriented service. The company fleet is over 1000 trailers and over 150 power units. The company has a strong commitment to safety and has a good safety infrastructure in place, but with a continuous-improvement work culture they are always looking for ways to do things better.

    THE JOB OUTLINE:
    Due to an upcoming retirement, we are currently seeking a Manager of Safety and Compliance for the branch office in West Montreal, with responsibility for safety and compliance across Ontario and Quebec. The role is supported by a team of driver trainers and coordinators, and also has the support of senior management.

    The key areas of responsibility relating to safety are developing assessment and training tools relating to accident prevention, and delivering training personally where necessary. Responsibilities for compliance and legal are to stay current on all regulations and ensure the department processes and records are in compliance. This includes auditing logbooks and licensing on a regular basis.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS:

    In order to flourish in this role the successful candidate will have a strong background in safety, having delivered training programs for a team of AZ drivers. You will also have experience in compliance and legal, with a good foundation of knowledge in trucking regulations for ON, QC and cross-border.

    You will have strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French. You will also bring an attention to detail and a sense of organization that others admire. These traits, combined with a high level of energy and enthusiasm, round out the perfect candidate.

    SALARY RANGE: Competitive compensation package.
