INTERMEDIATE ACCOUNTANT – ACC17680 Job in Calgary T2P3E5, Alberta Canada
Our client, a growing Oil and Gas Services organization, is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join their Operational Accounting team. This organization is growth orientated and constantly evolving, an adaptable individual who is driven to learn and grow will do well! The role will primarily be focused around general ledger analysis, reconciliations, journal entries and accurate and timely month end reporting.
More specifically your daily responsibilities will include the following:
- Liaise and work with Field staff to provide analysis on month end results
- Work with Senior Accountant and Controller
- Assist with the preparation of eternal audits
- Assist with Preparation of Income Balance Sheet statements, P&L’s cash flow forecast and budgeting
- Reconciliation and monthly journal entries
- Manage month end close process within deadlines
- Review and Analyze G&L’s
- Keep up to date and in line with compliance, legislation and corporate polices and procedures
The chosen applicant will have all of the following qualifications:
- Must have a B.comm or Accounting Diploma
- Completed designation CMA/CGA /CA
- 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Must have previous experience with month end and journal entries and full cycle accounting
- Good understanding of IFRS
- Good written and verbal communications
- Ability to communicate with Operations and Field Personnel
- Experience with Great Plains is necessary.
- Must have previous oil and gas working experience
This organization is offering a base salary ranging from $75-90,000 per annum and comes with a great benefits package including medical, dental, bonus and the potential for stock options.
