Responsible for managing a team servicing a portfolio of Alternative Investment Funds. Ensure a high quality service is provided to Fund Managers and their investors who are predominantly high net worth and institutional investors.
Supervise and assist staff with the daily functions of the Hedge funds department, ensuring overall processing of client trading activity is carried out in a timely basis and in compliance with Offering Memorandum and subscription documents
Develop and maintain high quality customer service to ensure the fulfillment of customer requirements;
Attend and contribute to operational, client and regulatory meetings in order to maintain and improve the service provided to clients.
Provide ongoing assessment and improvement of investor services service model.
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and direction of the team and its resources in order to ensure the accurate and timely completion of work.
Supervise and monitor the workflow for team members ensuring the fair allocation of work.
Manage the daily workflow within the team to ensure all work is completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
Ensure that the team is adequately trained in all areas of responsibility and that there is sufficient cover for all tasks. Approves and coordinates staff vacations and time off.
Ensure training is coordinated and implemented for new hires; identify training needs of existing staff and implement accordingly.
Ensure that procedures are kept up to date and are adhered to.
Contribute to department staff planning, including recruitment.
Create an effective working environment through the proper coaching, explanation of work required and contribution to the appraisal process;
Develop, motivate and mentor team members, helping to bring them to a high standard of knowledge and ability.
Monitor the performance of team members and provide regular feedback on an individual level and also to the team manager.
Help to maintain staffing levels and minimize turnover.
Responsible for various internal reporting and leading various Internal/Client projects including Fund launches.

Strong customer services focus and excellent communication skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
Experience supervising staff in the financial services industry
Experience in the hedge fund or private equity industry an asset.
Advanced degree and/or professional certification would be an asset
