Network Administrator Job in Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Our client is looking for a Network Administrator to work on a permanent basis in their Mississauga office. This position offers a competative compensation package and the opportunity to work with a leading organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and in a timely manner
IP subnetting (VLANs) and IP management
Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
Switching architecture and protocols (VLANs, VTP, Trunking, Port-channeling, Spanning Tree)
WAN access implementations (Frac-T1, DSL, ATM, LAN-x, Gig-E etc) and carrier backbone technologies (Frame, MPLS)
TCP/IP and Routing summarization
Network Authentication (RADIUS, TACACS+)
VPN Technology (IPSec, Key Management, Client & Site-to-site and remote access solutions)
Traffic management and Prioritization experience (QOS)
Load balancing and failover technologies
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5years of experience in an infrastructure environment based on Intel servers, Unix, NAS/SAN, Cisco based LAN/WAN
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
Hands-on working experience in CISCO Voice technologies
Advanced understanding of High Availability infrastructure concept and implementation
Advanced understanding of PIX/IDS/IPS/ASA concept and implementation
Experience with firewall and security configuration/implementation
Thorough knowledge of public/private IP addressing management and network address translation
Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
Ability to communicate technical information in a concise, understandable and accurate fashion to non-technical personnel
Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and applications
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
Strong customer service focus – understanding the service nature of Technical Support
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible and adaptable to working additional hours and/or overtime and act as Site support for Data Center for Incidents which require off hours and/or periods of time to resolve issues of a technical nature
VoIP systems design and implementation experience is an asset
Multi-vendor support for installation and monitoring of IDS (host based and network based) experience is an asset
