Position Type: Monday to Friday, full time, permanent
Compensation: $40,000 – $45,000 depending on experience. Alpine also offers a competitive medical, dental and matching RRSP as part of the compensation package.
Summary:
Alpine Helicopters is looking for an experienced, career-minded individual to fill our Accounting/Office Clerk position. We require a positive individual who can work independently at our Calgary Base.
The Accounting/Office Clerk is responsible for planning and overseeing all administrative support and accounting duties for the Calgary base. This includes reception duties, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Invoicing, payment processing, bank deposits, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and all other admin functions to support the base.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and screen all inbound telephone calls and visitors to the Calgary base; refer and/or redirect calls and visitors as applicable.
Payment and execution of all accounts payable functions including, reconciliation of payments and resolution of discrepancies
Preparation of accounts payable checks and wire payments
Prepare all customer invoices with accuracy
Monitor customer accounts for non payment and follow up on collections
Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.
Assist the Controller with month end and reporting procedures
Reconciliation of month end revenue and preparation of revenue estimates
Track and audit time sheets and flight reports
Process and enter all inventory transactions including parts requisitions, receipts and issues.
Provide direct administrative and office management support to all base managers or as directed
Skills and Attributes:
Have at least 2 years of direct work experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or office management role.
Strong knowledge of accounting procedures involving A/R, A/P and inventory.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Be highly organized and able to adapt to changing environment
Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
Good financial and business awareness.
Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
Able to work independently without direct supervision
Experience with accounting systems (Syspro) or other ERP system would be an asset
