PART-TIME PAYROLL ASSISTANT
Our client is a well established broadcasting company and there is an immediate need for a Part Time Payroll Assistant in the West End:
Hours of work: one week 3 days, next week 4 days – alternating as such. The successful candidate will also be required to work more hours when coordinating T4's as well as for vacation coverage.
Reporting to the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the payroll assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for the data entry of payroll information company wide as assigned
- Process all incoming timesheets company wide for hourly and salaried employees
- Verify hours/overtime and discuss discrepancies with Manager
- Calculation and deduction adjustments as necessary for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls
- Act as back-up to payroll Manager (responsible for vacation and sick time coverage)
- Track vacation time/accruals, sick leave and banked hours through payroll. Ensure accruals are calculated properly company wide
- Organize pay stubs and cheques for distribution
- Filing and other administrative tasks as required
- Assist Payroll Manager during T4/Releve 1, year end period
The qualified candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years payroll experience
- Level 2 Canadian Payroll Association certificate required
- Ceridian Insync payroll system experience required
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Crystal reports experience creating report templates preferred
- Bilingual (French & English) an asset
Compensation: $22/hr + benefits
