Service Manager Job in Fort McMurray T9H4C4, Alberta Canada

The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position is responsible for the safe, efficient and economical operation of the Service Department. You will collaborate with the Operations Manager and branch management, to create, monitor and implement the scheduling plan to effectively manage workload, support business objectives and maximize productivity. You will be responsible for the continual improvement of the Service Department with the goal of zero safety incidents and complete customer satisfaction. Other duties for this position include:
- Developing and maintaining effective communications and relationships with customers and manufacturer representatives to optimize equipment availabilities and operating costs.
- Leading a team of service professionals, ensuring the team direction supports objectives and maximizes internal and external customer experience.
- Manage all activities related to the service functions of field support and mechanical operations.
- Collaborate with the Branch Management to create and monitor the scheduling plan, support business objectives and maximize productivity.
- Manage work orders and warranties to ensure efficiency and minimization of costs while meeting business needs.
- Seeks, evaluates and develops new or expanded business services/opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Related trade/education with a minimum of 5 7 years related service experience.
- Able to enforce safety compliance with rules and regulations
- Ability to oversee work assignments and allocation of trades peoples time to best utilize available manpower in the field or shop.
- Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long range goals.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Tools.
