Our client is looking for aCompliance Tax Manager. The successful candidate will have a recognized Canadian accounting designation ( CA, CGA or CMA ) with the CICA In-Depth Tax Courses (Levels 1 and 2) and a minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a public accounting firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise with other members of the tax and assurance team on various tax advisory projects.
Coordinate and monitor the tax department’s compliance with internal control procedures.
Advise clients on compliance issues.
Advise clients on tax minimizing strategies.
Conduct tax research.
Develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities.
Coach, manage and mentor Junior Tax Staff for Professional Development.
REQUIREMENTS:
CA, CGA or CMA designation.
Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate tax compliance & planning.
Completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I and II).
Effective communication skills.
Expertise in Tax and Estate planning.
Expertise in complex Canadian corporate tax compliance, tax provisions and tax financial statement note disclosures.
Understanding of provincial and federal filing and compliance requirements.
Experience teaching and supervising junior staff.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strong client relationships.
COMPENSATION:
Salarycommensurate with education and experience.
Relocation assistance may be provided (depending on skills and qualification of the candidate).
