Systems Analysts GIS Analyst (C#) Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada

Eagle is currently seeking one (1) Systems Analyst GIS (C#). This contract opportunity is projected to be twelve (12) months in length with the possibility of extension if applicable.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;
• Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
• Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;
• Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;
• Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;
• Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;
• Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;
• Liaising with acceptance testing, client community and operations areas;
• Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;
• Status reporting to team leader as required;
• Developing and maintaining application documentation; and
• Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

• Experience as an analyst maintaining an existing, mission critical application, with significant batch processing functionality;
• Experience performing detailed analysis and design of a client server application, including interaction with the users regarding their requirements;
• Experience constructing or maintaining applications utilizing MSSQL stored procedures, functions and triggers;
• Experience supporting and maintaining an ESRI Spatial Data Engine utilizing a Microsoft SQL Server backend;
• Experience working with ESRI products (for example, ArcGIS 9.0+, ArcIMS 9.0+, ArcServer 9.0+, ArcGIS Desktop);
• Experience constructing or maintaining applications utilizing ESRI SDK (Software Development Kit), for example, arcObjects;
• Experience building applications using C# with the .NET framework;
• A minimum of 4 years combined related experience and education as stated below:
• A related University degree; or
• A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 2 years experience; or
• A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 3 years experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following tools:
• Infragistics 6.2 or later;
• IBatis.NET 1.7 or later, or MyBatis.NET;
• Crystal Reports 10 or later;
• NUnit
