Senior Production Revenue Accountant
Our client, a successful junior E & P company is looking to add a new Senior Production Accountant.
Ideally, they are looking for someone with both production and revenue experience and you have worked with BC properties and have a strong working knowledge mainly gas properties.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and report monthly production data for government
- Responsible for recording of monthly sales revenue and volume in Prism and uploading into financial system;
- Preparation of monthly oil & gas splits;
- Responsible for calculation and recording of crown, freehold, gross overriding royalties;
- Monthly comparison of field view, production and sales volumes for management;
- Set up of new well information in Prism;
- Providing updates on issues or changes pertaining to Production accounting, including Alberta and British Columbia Royalty changes; monitoring Alberta royalty tax credits and application when wells qualify;
- Mentoring of junior staff;
- Reconciliation of A/R to revenue on a monthly basis
- Such other tasks and projects as may be assigned by the Accounting Manager, Corporate Controller and CFO.
Other characteristics and duties:
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in Production Accounting
- Experience on PRISM, Excel and the Petroleum Registry
- CAPPA certificate preferred
- Well developed communication skills
- Strong technical and business judgment
- Strong team player
- Strong analytical skill set
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
Compensation and additional details:
- $90,000 to $100,000 base salary ~ commensurate with experience
