Risk Analyst Job in Edmonton, Alberta Canada

Description:

Design Group is currently recruiting for a Risk Analyst to work for an Oil and Gas company in Edmonton, Alberta.

Duties:

  • Coordinate the delivery of required risk management training to project team members, as well as internal stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Ensure that all substantial engineering, procurement and construction risks and opportunities that are applicable to the project are identified and assessed, entered into the risk register, and assigned to an appropriate team member.
  • Support the development of contingency required for project cost estimates.
  • Work with risk owners to develop effective and timely risk response plans and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate a high degree of engagement with key project team members through the regular submission of status reports and coordination of routine meetings to review the status of risk register items as well as the progress of risk response plans and mitigation strategies, proactively identifying any areas of concern with respect to same.
  • Oversee completion of qualitative risk analysis on all identified project risk items.
  • Conduct quantitative risk analysis required for procurement and construction contracts.
  • Oversee timely and accurate completion of the field risk register, including incorporation of the top material risks into the Weekly Construction Managers Status Report and weekly performance review meetings betweenManagers and the contractors.
  • Support development and refinement of the master project schedule, ensuring that it carries an appropriate balance of risk through the completion based schedule analysis.
  • Coordinate the risk incident investigation process for realized risk.
  • Implement and manage a process to resolve significant project issues that have been identified through a structured escalation protocol.
  • Lead risk based decision support activities required to enable appropriate decision making on substantive project concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in a related discipline with up to 10 or more years of pipeline industry experience, ideally with 5 years of risk management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel software, basic knowledge of MS Word and Powerpoint software.
