Project Engineer Job in Kanata K2V1B8, Ontario Canada
We are currently looking for a Project Engineer – PERM
Responsibilities:
Works in conjunction with the Sr. Dir. of Engineering
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates all technical activities on assigned projects
Monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices
Communicates key milestones and program information to stakeholders
Works with program management to understand impacts of engineering changes
Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects
Track project tasks and milestones to provide weekly metrics and status
Act as an escalation path for project issues.
Required Skills:
10 years experience working in a project engineering capacity
Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering
Working knowledge of DO-178, DO-160 and DO-254
Excellent with Project Management principles, methods and techniques
Strong teamwork, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to organize and structure activities, paying particular attention to detail
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and manage competing demands from a variety of stakeholders
Capable of assessing and mitigating risks to various levels within the organization
Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Formal project management training and/or a Project Management Certification would be an asset
Desired:
- Experience in designs for Aviation products
- Telephony and audio background
Experience in management of out-source design teams
Experience with Offshore design and mfg partners
Experience with Lithium Ion battery technology and pertinent regulations
