Defined Contribution (DC) Consultant, Investment Consulting Job in Montreal, Quebec Canada

Principal duties as DC Consultant:
The DC Consultant works as part of our DC Business Unit which helps plan sponsors design their DC plans and make the most of the monies invested under their care. To fulfill this role, the DC Consultant will:
- Help elaborate plan design and evaluate benefit adequacy of DC plans
- Support consultants in the transitions of defined benefit plans to DC plans
- Help produce and/or review request for proposals and analysis reports for the selection of a DC administrator
- Help elaborate investment structures for DC plans
- Help produce and/or review fund manager search and investment performance monitoring reports
- Help produce and/or review reports monitoring investment behaviours, benchmarking fee and assessing DC administrator compliance
- Establish project plans for DC plan implementations and manage timelines, deliverables and budgets
- Support DC administrators in implementing DC plans and in making changes to the DC fund line-ups
- Reviews communication material
- Participate in the elaboration of reports and support other consultants in finding clients solutions
- Participate in the research efforts on DC related topics
- Help expand the DC Consulting business as well as Mercer's services
- Build strong relationships with clients, DC administrators, fund managers and internal colleagues
- BA/BS degree in actuarial science or related discipline
- Professional designation (ASA, CFA, FRM, etc.) an asset
- 7 to 9 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of core investment strategies
- Knowledge of defined benefit and DC plans
- Recent relevant experience in client relationships and presentation skills
- Superior analytical, project management, sales and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Bilinguism (English/French, verbally and writing)
